The first one was elegant, the second one is, to me, extremely unpleasant.

I loved Thea 1 but couldn't get into Thea 2 because the card combat system has become something I can't stand. It's the type of game where weak magic is everywhere, but a powerful witch is rare and requires lots of dedication. You have your warriors, ready for battle, but there are also intellectual fights where your crafter might shine, or spiritual fights where you'll want a witch. Lots of random events occur, some negative, some positive.most of them both. There's also a main story and many side stories and storytelling is great. That's not the fun part of the game though. It's not the best card game IMO but it's unique.

Thea 2 uses turn based combat, but with cards. Originally posted by tiamats4esgares:If you like playing as a wandering group, struggling to get by, with a high degree of difficulty, then I recommend Thea 2: The Shattering.
